Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, three nights per week with every-other-weekend requirement

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients using advanced assessment and clinical judgment
- Manage ventilated patients including ventilator adjustments and ventilator-associated care
- Monitor and manage invasive lines including arterial, central, and PICC lines with precise attention to infection prevention
- Interpret 12-lead ECGs, identify dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies
- Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips safely and administer continuous IV sedation or paralytics when indicated
- Perform chest tube management and assist with chest tube insertion/removal as needed
- Administer blood products and emergency medications following facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using Epic charting to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Float between like units within scope to meet facility needs and support patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of ICU critical care nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
- Must pass the facility EKG exam, no exceptions
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, arterial and central line care, and titration of vasoactive drips
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Travel nurse experience required; ability to float between similar units as needed
- Weekend availability every other weekend and willingness to work night shifts
Education
- Active RN license required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care and ICU nursing best practices
- Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator-associated care
- Arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
- 12-lead ECG acquisition and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips, continuous IV sedation and paralytics
- Chest tube management and related respiratory procedures including CPAP/BiPAP support
- Blood product administration and emergency medication protocols
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and interdisciplinary communication
