Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care at the bedside
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings in the chart
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns when needed
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge plans
• Support unit flow by managing admissions, transfers and safe discharges

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Pennsylvania license or multistate compact RN preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred or available
• Current immunizations and health screenings per facility policy
• Comfortable working overnight hours and in fast-paced acute care settings
• Professional, collaborative attitude with strong communication and critical thinking

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Proficient documentation in electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Basic wound care, vital signs monitoring and patient education
