Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations with accuracy and attention to patient comfort
• Operate radiography equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols
• Position patients and use proper imaging techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate imaging services
• Maintain patient records and document procedures in the imaging system
• Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical proficiency
• Ensure equipment function and report any maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while enforcing infection control and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Valid state radiologic technologist license or certificate (License/Certificate Verification required)
• BLS certification required
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, COVID-19, Influenza), and TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Current, active practice in diagnostic radiography with strong clinical judgment and patient care focus
• Willingness to complete required Trinity Color Vision and Physical/Health Statement

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in X-ray/radiography techniques and patient positioning
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Familiarity with digital imaging systems and PACS workflow
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting and maintain accurate documentation
• Detail-oriented approach to performing competency testing and maintaining certifications
