Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality stepdown nursing care to medically complex patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor telemetry and clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care plans
• Respond to clinical changes quickly and escalate concerns appropriately
• Complete required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain practice standards
• Ensure all required license/certificate verifications and personal health requirements are met

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• License/Certificate Verification as part of onboarding
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience or comfort working in a stepdown/telemetry environment
• Strong patient assessment and cardiac monitoring skills
• Clear clinical judgment and critical thinking in rapidly changing situations
• Accurate documentation and electronic medical record proficiency
• Ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively
• Competency with required clinical checklists and specialty testing
