Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating day and night shifts including every other weekend; specific start and end times vary by unit and will be provided by scheduling (day and night rotations required)
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in active labor and delivery
- Continuously monitor fetal heart tracings and intervene or escalate concerns promptly
- Perform neonatal resuscitation as needed and coordinate with the neonatal team
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives and multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe deliveries
- Triage and assess antepartum and postpartum patients, creating clear and thorough documentation
- Educate patients and families on labor progress, newborn care and postpartum recovery
- Participate in unit competency testing and maintain required certifications to support high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (state license required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications
- AWHONN or equivalent Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass license and certificate verification, Trinity 10 panel drug screen and required immunizations
- Comfort working a busy labor and delivery unit and covering every other weekend
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal heart monitoring interpretation and clinical decision making
- Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn care
- Experienced in labor management, maternal assessments and emergency responses
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced perinatal settings
- Proficient documentation and electronic medical record usage
- Ability to teach and support patients and families during labor and postpartum
