Shift Type: Rotating nights (12-hour) — 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; 12-hour night shifts with float assignments across MedSurg/Telemetry and PCU; schedule published 6 weeks out for 4-week blocks; every-other-weekend requirement; guaranteed 36 hours/week

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality acute nursing care across MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU units
- Interpret cardiac monitors and telemetry strips and act promptly on dysrhythmias
- Titrate and manage IV drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin) per unit protocols
- Assess and monitor post-procedural cardiac patients (post cath, post MI, CABG post-op days 3–4)
- Collaborate with monitor techs, RTs and the care team to ensure seamless patient care
- Care for geriatric and orthopedic patients and manage groin site post-procedural care
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner and participate in unit-specific orientation
- Float between campuses/units as needed and respond to assignments (staff will notify ~2 hours prior)
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (eligible to practice in Arizona)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Comfortable and experienced with telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation and passing a dysrhythmia exam (80% passing threshold; two attempts allowed)
- Proven ability to titrate common drips listed in the job (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin)
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic charting systems
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float across MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma accepted; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
- IV drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
- Post-cardiac cath and CABG postoperative care
- CPAP/BiPAP and heated high-flow respiratory support familiarity
- Patient assessment, medication administration and titration
- Care of groin sites and post-procedural wound monitoring
- Collaboration with monitor techs, RTTs and interdisciplinary teams
- Proficient documentation in Cerner EHR
