Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients promptly and deliver high-quality nursing care with compassion
• Perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments accurately and timely
• Maintain current BLS certification and apply life-saving skills when needed
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and Specialty Competency Testing as required
• Verify and maintain licensure and required certifications per policy
• Adhere to infection control, immunization, fit testing, and drug screening requirements
• Document patient care clearly and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and informed decisions

Qualifications

• Active RN license (license/certificate verification required)
• Current BLS certification
• NIHSS certification or demonstrated proficiency
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
• Successful completion of Fit Test, Trinity Color Vision check, and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, 2-step PPD or IGRA, physical/health statement)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with NIHSS stroke assessment
• Strong BLS and basic emergency response skills
• Familiarity with competency-based testing and Trinity protocols
• Solid clinical assessment, triage, and patient monitoring skills
• Understanding of infection control and immunization standards
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation and teamwork
