Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile field and surgical instruments with precision
Assist the surgical team by efficiently passing instruments and supplies
Anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly to changing case demands
Perform instrument and sponge counts to ensure patient safety
Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthetists, and surgeons for smooth procedures
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to keep skills current

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred where applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong attention to detail and commitment to sterile technique
Comfort working in fast-paced operating room environments and as part of a team

Education

Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

Proven knowledge of perioperative instrumentation and sterile technique
Familiarity with operating room protocols and safety practices
Ability to anticipate clinical needs and prioritize during procedures
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic familiarity with documentation and electronic medical records
