Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in both the Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical unit
• Assess, triage and stabilize patients presenting to the ED and escalate concerns promptly
• Deliver safe medication administration and treatments per physician orders
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and allied health staff to coordinate excellent patient care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans to support recovery
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as part of the unit schedule

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Clinical experience in Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) settings
• Comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts, including every third weekend and holiday rotations
• Strong communication, teamwork and patient advocacy skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency department and medical-surgical nursing knowledge and best practices
• Patient assessment, triage and prioritization under variable acuity
• Accurate clinical documentation and care planning
• Ability to function effectively on rotating day/night schedules and busy shifts
• Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary teams
