Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients continuously and interpret clinical information to guide timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care accurately
• Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, including stroke scales (NIHSS) when indicated
• Respond to emergencies using ACLS/PALS protocols and coordinate life-saving measures
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient-centered care plans
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high-quality care standards
• Educate patients and families about condition management, discharge planning, and follow-up needs
• Maintain compliance with infection control, immunization, and health screening requirements

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure (license/certificate verification required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed in the order
• Successful completion of Trinity skills checklist and specialty competency testing
• Must pass Trinity 10 panel drug screen, fit test, and required health screenings (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, PPD/IGRA, influenza, COVID-19 vaccine or questionnaire)
• Ability to complete required paperwork and physical/health statement prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in acute care settings
• Competence in cardiac and pediatric life support protocols (ACLS, PALS, BLS)
• Trauma-focused care skills aligned with TNCC principles
• Proficiency with stroke assessment tools (NIHSS) and timely escalation
• Accurate documentation, electronic charting, and medication administration practices
• Effective communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams
