Location: Asheville, NC

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, varying weekends (at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care across critical care and neonatal/pediatric service lines
- Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation and noninvasive devices to optimize patient outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered respiratory plans
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner EMR
- Respond quickly and effectively to respiratory emergencies and code situations
- Operate and maintain ventilators and high flow oxygen devices, ensuring equipment readiness
- Support unit guidelines and float across critical care units as needed
Qualifications
- North Carolina Respiratory License (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical respiratory therapy experience (critical care and/or neonatal/peds experience preferred)
- NRP is a plus
- Comfortable using Cerner EMR and hospital respiratory equipment
Knowledge & Skills
- Mechanical ventilation management including adult and neonatal/pediatric vents
- Experience with GE R860, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70, V60, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow
- Strong critical care assessment and ventilator troubleshooting skills
- Neonatal and pediatric respiratory care knowledge
- Proficient documentation in Cerner EMR and effective interprofessional communication
