Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy and treatments to pediatric patients
Manage ventilators and respiratory equipment with attention to safety and best practice
Monitor patient status, interpret responses, and document care accurately
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to develop care plans
Educate families and caregivers on respiratory treatments and home care needs
Participate in orientation and training; support team learning and mentorship
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

Active Ohio respiratory care license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
CRT or RRT credential preferred
BLS required, PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Previous pediatric respiratory care experience preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team
Current immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required
Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric airway management and ventilator management
ABG interpretation and adjustment of respiratory therapies
Nebulizer, aerosol therapy, and oxygen delivery systems
Competence with EMR documentation and clinical charting
Family-centered communication and education skills
Equipment troubleshooting and safety checks
Infection prevention and control practices
