Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients, delivering treatments with compassion and precision
• Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patient response, adjusting care as needed in collaboration with the care team
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including ventilators and airway devices
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Participate actively in orientation, training sessions, and interdisciplinary rounds to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and colleagues to support family-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio (required)
• CRT or RRT credential preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; PALS or pediatric certifications preferred
• Comfort working with pediatric populations and a collaborative care team
• Current immunizations and any facility-specific clearances as required

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program (required); Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of pediatric respiratory therapy and common pediatric respiratory conditions
• Experience with ventilators, airway management, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized treatments
• Ability to perform accurate respiratory assessments and interpret clinical data
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
