Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and prioritize care based on clinical findings
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate outcomes
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms closely and respond to changes in condition
• Communicate promptly with physicians about changes in patient status and diagnostic results
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of practice and maintain high standards of safety
• Provide patient and family teaching to support recovery and self-care
• Document care accurately in EPIC EMR and complete required competency testing
• Guide and support other nursing personnel to ensure cohesive, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current, valid state RN license (Nursys enrollment indicated)
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• Basic rhythm interpretation and DCI/BVP familiarity preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring best practices
• Direct patient care and physician communication
• Patient and family teaching techniques
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Competency in basic rhythm interpretation and telemetry troubleshooting
