Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor continuous EEG and titrate drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Perform open-book skills exam during orientation to ensure competency
Maintain a positive attitude and foster a supportive, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state (driver's license required for distance verification)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass a 90% pass/fail exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in titrating vasoactive and seizure medications
Comfort with continuous EEG monitoring and cardiac care
Adaptability to float across different units
