Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to neuro patients, including post-surgical, post-crani, spine, and CVA post-TPA cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKGs to detect dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures and ensure infection control best practices
• Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse, clinical supervisor, and PCTs to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and respond to neuro emergencies with confidence
• Educate patients and families on neuro conditions and recovery plans

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro telemetry or similar setting (within the past 6 months)
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts)
• Proficiency in sterile technique (pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved declination (medical/religious) required

• Neuro assessment and post-surgical care
• Knowledge of stroke protocols and neuro emergencies
