Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators, central lines, and complex medication regimens
Collaborate with neonatologists and a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans
Perform and assist with procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes while maintaining sterile field
Educate and support families through their baby's NICU journey
Float to mother-baby and labor care units as needed to support neonatal patients

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience (will consider busy Level 3)
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Must be willing to complete a pass/fail SIMs lab on Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Strong understanding and practice of sterile field technique
Ability to work every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Knowledge of Phillips telemetry systems
Skills in sterile field technique, Foley catheter insertion, and central line dressing changes
Understanding of neonatal resuscitation and cardiac STABLE program
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
