Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, times vary: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, and 8-hour options. Every other weekend required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population of oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects and response
Manage complex drips including heparin, cardizem, and other titratable medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dieticians
Perform thorough assessments, document in EPIC, and ensure hourly rounding
Float to other PCU and med-surg units as needed, maintaining same level of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent oncology and PCU experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required (or willing to obtain)
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Willingness to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and safety protocols
Hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Ventilator management and critical thinking
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
