Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments and supplies as required
• Monitor patient status throughout surgery, documenting care and communicating with team members
• Assist in positioning patients and preparing the surgical site
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and active California RN license required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience as a circulator
• TB clearance completed within the last 12 months
• Ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in circulating for various surgical specialties
• Familiarity with operating room equipment and instrumentation
