Shift Type: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, includes 2 weekends per month with comp days during week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for acute care patients
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and recovery
Provide hands-on therapy and education to patients and their families
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EMR
Precept and mentor new staff as needed by the unit

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist in Texas (or eligible for licensure)
Acute care experience preferred, but new grads with strong clinical rotations considered
Ability to work 2 weekends per month and rotate holidays
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care rehabilitation including ortho, neuro, oncology, and critical care
Proficiency in Meditech EMR preferred
Patient assessment and treatment planning
Delegation and supervision of PTAs and rehab aides
