Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess neurological status
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum of 1 year recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation with 90% or higher
A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and critical thinking abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Experience titrating vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drips
Strong problem-solving skills in high-acuity situations
Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
Familiarity with common diagnoses: cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes management
