Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, includes weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including those with CHF, DM, UTI, COPD, and post-operative conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, identifying arrhythmias and responding appropriately
Titrate heparin and Cardizem drips as ordered, ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with charge nurses, aides, and respiratory therapists to deliver coordinated care
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Float to other units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

At least 1 year of acute care clinical experience required
Active Washington RN license or compact license required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with heparin and Cardizem titration preferred
Telemetry interpretation skills a must

Knowledge & Skills

Heparin and Cardizem titration expertise
Telemetry strip reading and arrhythmia recognition
Medical-surgical patient assessment and care
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced, changing environments
