Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend and holidays as required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and neurological assessments
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required for distance verification
Must live outside 50 miles from Omaha and not be employed with CommonSpirit/CHI
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate IV drips and manage complex cardiac patients
Familiarity with continuous EEG monitoring
Adaptable to floating across different units
