Sonographer - General and OBGYN

Location: Durango, CO

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable days, 10-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with call 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality general and OBGYN ultrasound exams
Conduct vascular ultrasound studies and procedures
Assist with image-guided biopsies and drainages
Utilize EPIC and Fuji PACS for documentation and image management
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure accurate diagnoses
Maintain equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort

Qualifications

Active BLS certification required
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in General or OBGYN
RVT or RDCS certification highly preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in ultrasound procedures
Strong skills in general, OBGYN, and vascular ultrasound

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in general, OBGYN, and vascular ultrasound techniques
Experience with Phillips ultrasound equipment
Knowledge of EPIC and PACS systems
Ability to perform procedures such as biopsies and drainages
Excellent patient communication and care skills
Team-oriented with ability to work independently
