Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends every 3rd weekend, includes holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage ventilators
Perform procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict sterile technique
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team
Educate and support families through their NICU journey
Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
At least 2 years of experience in a Level 4 NICU
Valid BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
Ability to pass SIMs lab skills including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of neonatal critical care including premature, cardiac, and surgical patients
Proficiency in Cerner electronic medical records
Excellent sterile technique and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Compassionate communication with patients and families
Team collaboration and adaptability
