Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 35-bed PCU
• Monitor cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes patients, including continuous EEG monitoring
• Titrate and manage common titratable drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and patient care techs in a fast-paced environment
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed, showcasing your versatility
• Participate in an open-book skills exam during orientation and achieve a 90% or higher to ensure competency

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Valid driver's license (required for submittal and radius verification)
• Ability to meet the 50-mile radius rule and not be employed with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities
• No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas
• Positive attitude, excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ability to titrate and manage IV drips
• Strong understanding of cardiac, neurological, and renal patient care
• Experience with continuous EEG monitoring is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
