Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights), with start times at 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM, and every other weekend required. Self-scheduling available.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to oncology and trauma PCU/MedSurg patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects and response
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
Ensure hourly rounding and a focus on patient experience and safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and/or MedSurg experience, with oncology experience strongly preferred
BLS and ACLS certification required
ONS/ONCC certification required (chemo cert)
Willingness to take charge nurse duties after orientation (minimum 1 year charge experience preferred)

Driver's license required at submittal for compliance with 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR
Experience with Alaris IV pumps
Comfortable with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000) - training provided
Skilled in IV therapy and managing drips (heparin, cardizem, chemotherapy)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A genuine passion for patient care and a positive attitude
