Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, including cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and acute on chronic conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 (day) or 1:5-6 (night), with PCU overflow at 1:3
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure safe, quality care
Float to PCU and medical-surgical units as needed for full patient assignments
Participate in orientation: 2 shifts (Friday and Saturday) then independent practice

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU/telemetry experience
Proficiency in telemetry strip interpretation and drip titration
Epic charting experience preferred
Open to first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Cardiac drip titration (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix)
PCU level care and overflow management
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Team collaboration and communication
Epic electronic health record (preferred)
