Location: Lufkin, TX

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating days, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and other med/surg tele conditions
Monitor telemetry readings and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
Float to all med/surg units as needed to support the team
Administer medications, titrate drips as required, and manage patient care plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
At least 1 year of med/surg telemetry experience preferred
Great communication and time management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips (tele monitor techs available but RNs must be proficient)
BLS certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Patient assessment and critical thinking in fast-paced environments
Medication administration including titration of common drips
Team collaboration and effective communication with patients and families
