Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Titrate cardiac and seizure medications with precision
Monitor continuous EEG and telemetry for critical changes
Collaborate with a supportive team of charge nurses, techs, and physicians
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience preferred
Must live more than 50 miles from Omaha to qualify
Driver's license required at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating drips (Cardizem, beta blockers, seizure meds)
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage 4-5 patients with high acuity needs
