Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for a cardiac PCU/IMCU population
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and perform continuous cardiac monitoring for STEMI/NSTEMI and post-op CTS/C/P patients
• Safely administer and titrate cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine, pressors) per protocols
• Assess, intervene, and escalate care promptly for changes in cardiac status
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to create and execute individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete demographic/badge photo requirements for compliance
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and post-discharge care

Qualifications

• Documented PCU experience in work history — minimum 2 years in a similar-sized facility (explicit requirement)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring and care for STEMI/NSTEMI patients
• Demonstrated competence managing cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
• Comfort working in a 28-bed PCU/IMCU environment with typical ratios of 1:3-4

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) workflows and patient management
• Telemetry interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Titration and management of inotropes and pressors
• Recognition and response to STEMI/NSTEMI and post-cardiac surgery issues
• ACLS algorithms and emergency response in a cardiac population
• Strong clinical documentation and team communication skills
