Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide focused perioperative nursing care for pediatric patients in the operating room
- Prepare the OR environment and ensure sterile technique for procedures
- Assist surgical teams during cases to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Perform patient assessments and manage perioperative documentation
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow staff to ensure safe handoffs
- Participate in orientation activities and support onboarding of new team members
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Ohio)
- Experience in Operating Room settings
- Experience caring for pediatric patients
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric perioperative nursing practices
- Operating room workflows and sterile technique
- Patient assessment and perioperative monitoring
- Strong teamwork and clear communication in fast-paced OR settings
