Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (12 hours per shift); specific start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed with the facility

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate medical/surgical nursing care to adult patients
Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and IV therapy safely and accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and transitions
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to promote recovery

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact license as applicable
Clinical experience or strong interest in Medical/Surgical nursing
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or PALS as preferred where applicable
Ability to safely manage 12-hour shift responsibilities and deliver consistent patient care
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and IV management proficiency
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond to changing patient needs
Patient/family education and discharge planning experience
