Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry and intermediate/observation units, escalating changes in condition promptly
• Coordinate care for post-op orthopedic and hybrid Cath Lab patients, collaborating closely with surgeons and procedural teams
• Deliver critical disease-state management and intermediate care (CCU) as needed, per ACLS-trained RN scope
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in unit call rotation and staffing flexibility to support safe patient coverage

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care/Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience (required)
• At least 3 years of RN Med-Surg experience listed in posting — confirm when applying
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Current ACLS (American Heart Association) required for intermediate/CCU care
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, observation unit workflows, and caring for orthopedic and post-procedural patients
• Applicants should submit resume, Nursys license verification, skills sheet, and BLS/ACLS provider cards

Knowledge & Skills

• Nursing process and strong patient assessment skills
• Care coordination and patient care planning for acute and chronic conditions
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience in Med-Surg, acute care, observation units and CCU/intermediate care settings
• Ability to manage critical disease states and provide ACLS-level interventions
• Comfort with orthopedic postoperative care and hybrid Cath Lab patient needs
