Shift Type: Night shifts (NOC) with call — exact start/end times vary by unit; 36-48 hours per week, with 6-8 call shifts per 6-week period. Schedule will not exceed 4 shifts/week unless mutually agreed. Expect variable nights and call coverage; no guaranteed block scheduling or consistent weekends off.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics, and Postpartum units
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and maternal assessments to keep moms and babies safe
• Respond rapidly and effectively to obstetric and neonatal emergencies, including neonatal resuscitation
• Manage on-call responsibilities professionally — triage, coordinate care, and support emergent needs
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients and families through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Document care clearly and thoroughly to ensure seamless handoffs and continuity

Qualifications

• Active MT RN license or a qualifying Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery/OB and Postpartum
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN (Intermediate) certification required
• Comfortable working night shifts (NOC) and fulfilling scheduled call rotations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in labor management, postpartum care, and obstetric assessment
• Proficient with fetal monitoring interpretation and maternal-fetal safety practices
• Experienced in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response protocols
• Ability to triage effectively during call shifts and coordinate rapid interventions
• Compassionate patient education and family-centered care approach
• Teamwork and clear communication across multidisciplinary teams
