Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and continuously monitor critically ill patients using evidence-based critical care practices
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that target patient recovery and safety
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and communicate significant changes to physicians promptly
• Deliver direct patient care while directing and coaching other nursing personnel
• Lead patient and family education to support understanding of diagnosis and care plans
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
• Respond quickly and effectively to patient condition changes and emergency situations
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while coordinating interdisciplinary care

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license (required)
• BLS (required) and ACLS (required)
• Minimum of 1 year as a staff RN in acute care or critical care (required)
• CCRN certification (preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience (preferred)
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP familiarity preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings (per facility policy)
• Nursys registration or ability to register as required

Education

• Active RN license (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills in ICU settings
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Experience with acute care interventions and critical care protocols
• Excellent interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
• Patient and family teaching skills with a compassionate approach
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical records
• Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality regulations
• Comfort with competency assessments and unit-specific skills checklists
