Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 9-hour shift; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility (orientation required)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care interventions
Administer medications and manage complex IV/infusion therapies safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and adjust care plans
Monitor ventilators and advanced cardiac monitoring, responding to changes promptly
Educate patients and families on condition, care plan, and discharge needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Alabama (or compact RN where applicable)
ICU nursing experience (critical care focus)
Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred
Ability to pass facility orientation and onboarding
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and intervention
Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced cardiac monitoring
Medication administration and titration in critical care settings
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex patients
