Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Stabilize and manage trauma and critically ill patients in a fast-paced ER
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes using telemetry and advanced assessment
• Provide compassionate care and de-escalation for behavioral health patients
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and the care team to coordinate timely interventions
• Document assessments, interventions and patient education clearly and professionally
• Participate in emergency response and code situations as a reliable team member
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment with fast patient turnover

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
• Experience or strong interest in Emergency Room (ER) nursing; comfortable in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
• Comfort and ability to work night shifts and 12-hour schedules
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and trauma certifications preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication and critical thinking skills

• Emergency Room (ER) nursing and triage

• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• Behavioral health patient care and de-escalation techniques
• IV therapy, medication administration and acute care interventions
• Clear documentation and effective interdisciplinary communication
