Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Triage patients effectively and prioritize care based on clinical needs
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient treatment
• Respond calmly and efficiently to emergent situations and critical care needs
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow hospital policies and protocols

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Hampshire licensure required or eligibility to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Prior experience or demonstrated competency in Emergency Department care (ED/ER)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient prioritization skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour ED shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of emergency nursing practices, triage, and acute care interventions
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely
• Comfort with rapid decision-making and working under pressure
