Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients on the 4 McA unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments, develop care plans and document accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy
• Respond to emergencies and use ACLS/BLS skills when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (or compact/eligible where applicable)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing required
• Current immunizations and health screening: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
• Successful completion of Trinity 10-panel drug screen and physical/health statement

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable with medication administration and IV therapies
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Competence in emergency response and cardiac life support procedures
