Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation, providing high-quality imaging
• Apply radiation protection principles and exercise professional judgment during procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and departmental documentation
• Participate in departmental quality assurance/QC and daily/weekly equipment checks
• Assist with CT and interventional procedures, including contrast administration and automatic injector setup
• Provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan and alter protocols to meet pediatric and geriatric needs
• Transfer patients safely to and from radiology and assist with invasive procedures as needed
• Actively support sterile technique, venipuncture goals, tele-radiology transmission, and supply inventory
• Rotate shifts, accept on-call duties, and assume department responsibility in the absence of a supervisor
• Engage in continuing education and maintain competency in ancillary modalities

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be demonstrated within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to the assigned modality
• Willingness to take call and report to work within 20 minutes when scheduled
• Willingness to learn and work across multiple imaging modalities (XR, CT, MRI, Mammography, etc.)
• Competency or certification in additional modalities (ARRT CT, MR, MG, NM or ARDMS) is a plus

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire (and every three years thereafter)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and age-specific care from newborns to geriatric adults
• Radiation protection and radiographic technique
• CT and X-ray operation, contrast administration, and automatic injector use
• Quality assurance and equipment care for imaging departments
• Venipuncture and sterile technique for interventional support
• Tele-radiology transmission and digital image handling
• Strong customer service, ethics, and ability to perform under stress
• Ability to assist with inventory, ordering, and departmental organization
