Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients, following prescribed plans and safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment with precision and attention to quality assurance.
• Perform patient assessments, verify treatment orders, and document care accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards and infection control practices for the protection of patients and staff.
• Participate in required Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing to maintain clinical excellence.
• Support patient education and emotional needs with empathy and clear communication throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — current and active (listed in required certifications).
• License/Certificate Verification completed and valid for practice (as required by facility).
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty-specific competency testing.
• Ability to meet facility health requirements: required immunizations, TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA), fit testing, drug screen, and physical/health statement.
• Comfort working a consistent weekday daytime schedule and collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles and safe delivery techniques.
• Skill operating linear accelerators and related radiation therapy equipment.
• Familiarity with treatment setup, immobilization devices, and patient positioning.
• Excellent patient communication and compassionate bedside manner.
• Attention to detail for charting, treatment verification, and quality assurance procedures.
• Teamwork and the ability to coordinate care with oncology departments and support services.
