Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional performance and occupational needs with compassion and clinical precision
• Develop individualized treatment plans that help patients regain independence in daily activities
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic every other week as scheduled
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with licensing, institutional policies, and required health screenings

Qualifications

• Current state Occupational Therapy license (OT or OTR) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience using Epic for documentation preferred
• Current immunizations and screenings as required (Fit Test, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap)
• Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screen and color vision testing
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and patient-centered focus

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/MS/OTD or equivalent) and current state OT licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, ADL training, and functional goal setting
• Proficient documentation practices and familiarity with Epic workflows
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, orthotics, and therapeutic modalities
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and advocacy
