Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and represent clinical and managerial functions onsite during night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate hospital-wide, shift-specific care to meet departmental goals
• Manage staffing, ensuring appropriate numbers and skill mix to deliver safe patient care
• Oversee patient placement and clinical coordination to optimize flow and bed utilization
• Serve as primary backup for front managers and provide leadership in their absence
• Address patient and family relations with empathy and clear communication
• Identify and manage risk issues, escalating and documenting as appropriate
• Allocate supplies and equipment efficiently to support clinical teams
• Mentor, evaluate, and support staff performance and professional growth
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and public affairs/communications when issues arise

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing leadership, house supervision, or related clinical administrative roles
• Demonstrated ability in staffing management, patient placement, and clinical coordination
• Proven skills in risk management, patient/family relations, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Strong communication, mentoring, and evaluative abilities
• Current nursing licensure or relevant clinical licensure preferred; facility-specific credentials may be required
