Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition using medical-surgical nursing principles to deliver safe, high-quality care
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care to support recovery
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses clearly and promptly
• Perform specialty competency tasks as required and participate in ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in Oregon (License/Certificate Verification required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Successful completion of Trinity specialty specific competency testing required
• Ability to complete required health screenings including drug screen, fit test, immunizations and TB testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing best practices
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Safe medication administration and documentation
• Infection control and proper use of PPE
• Clear communication and teamwork with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Comfort with competency-based testing and following facility protocols
