Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and support with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, and toileting in a respectful manner
• Measure and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
• Support infection control practices and adhere to safety protocols
• Participate in Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and maintain certification requirements
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Successful completion of Trinity specialty-specific competency testing
• License/certificate verification on file and in good standing
• Must pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen
• Required immunizations and health clearances: Fit Test, 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot), Influenza vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine
• Trinity respirator evaluation and Trinity color vision check as applicable

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care fundamentals and comfort assisting with ADLs
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, patient observation, safe transfer techniques
• Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork
• Ability to follow facility protocols and maintain accurate documentation
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Familiarity with employer competency testing and willingness to learn new specialty skills
