Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography and CT exams (screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy, specimen radiography) with attention to image quality and patient safety
• Provide compassionate patient care across the lifespan and adapt techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Maintain and perform quality assurance checks, equipment care, and documentation in accordance with departmental and ACR/FDA standards
• Assist with interventional procedures, venipuncture, contrast administration, and sterile technique as needed
• Ensure accurate patient records, participate in departmental QA programs, inventory, and supply ordering
• Rotate to support other imaging modalities when required and pursue competency in ancillary modalities
• Respond to on-call assignments promptly and professionally

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) required within 45 days of start
• Clinical competency assessment (SEARHC) required within 3 months of hire and every three years thereafter
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modalities (mammography, CT, ultrasound, radiography)
• Familiarity with ACR/FDA mammography documentation requirements (100 mammograms/year and CEU maintenance)
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and travel between SEARHC sites as needed
• ARDMS, MRI, or additional modality certifications are a plus

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography)
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• Clinical Competency Assessment (SEARHC) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiographic imaging and radiation protection best practices
• Patient assessment and patient-centered care
• Mammography techniques including stereotactic biopsy and specimen radiography
• Computed Tomography (CT) operation and contrast administration
• Sonography/ultrasound fundamentals
• Quality assurance and QA documentation
• Sterile technique and assist for interventional procedures
• Tele-radiology transmission competency and record maintenance
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work under stress
