Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care within the LPN scope
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and promptly
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and basic clinical procedures
• Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate electronic charting and follow facility documentation standards
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or equivalent) preferred
• Comfortable and experienced with long-day (12+ hour) shifts
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of LPN scope of practice and basic nursing procedures
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Proficient in monitoring and interpreting vital signs and basic assessments
• Experience with wound care and basic clinical interventions
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Patient education, compassionate bedside manner, and teamwork
