Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform interventional cardiology procedures — both scheduled and unscheduled — delivering high-quality procedural care
• Provide interventional call coverage, respond to callbacks and manage inpatient emergencies with calm and clinical expertise
• Cover inpatient and outpatient clinical duties including consults and inpatient study reads to support continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with RNs and support staff to ensure safe, efficient procedural flow and excellent patient experience
• Complete required EPIC EMR modules prior to your first day and participate in onsite EMR training the morning of your start
• Communicate clearly with the care team and leadership about patient status, admissions, and procedural scheduling
• Support the facility during a temporary provider shortage while credentialing is completed — be the steady hand the team needs

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with appropriate licensure or ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
• Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology or equivalent interventional experience preferred
• Experience performing interventional cardiology procedures and providing call coverage in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Comfortable with EPIC EMR and willing to complete required modules before the first clinical day
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing and procedural teams
• Current malpractice coverage arrangements or ability to comply with facility malpractice requirements; credentialing timeline typically 45–60 days

Education

• MD or DO (required)
• Interventional Cardiology fellowship (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven interventional cardiology procedural skills (diagnostic and therapeutic interventions)
• Experience handling inpatient consults and reading inpatient studies
• Call management skills including triage, timely patient contact, and decisive clinical action
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR workflows and modules, and ability to complete onsite training
• Effective collaboration with RN and ancillary staff for procedural and inpatient care
• Ability to adapt to a mix of inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and on-call responsibilities
