Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the rehabilitation department to deliver high-quality patient care
• Develop and oversee individualized rehabilitation programs and clinical protocols
• Manage, mentor and schedule a multidisciplinary rehab team to maximize performance
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and facility regulations and quality standards
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians and ancillary services to coordinate patient care
• Monitor program outcomes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee departmental budget, staffing plans and resource allocation
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and community outreach

Qualifications

• Current, active license in the relevant rehabilitation discipline (e.g., PT, OT, SLP) in Maryland or ability to obtain licensure
• Proven leadership experience in a rehabilitation or post-acute setting, typically 3+ years in supervisory/managerial roles
• Strong clinical background in rehab services with demonstrated program development experience
• Experience with staff development, performance management and scheduling
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (e.g., Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Healthcare Administration)
• Master’s degree or advanced leadership training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of rehabilitation therapies, care planning and functional outcomes
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and documentation standards
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and outcome tracking tools
• Ability to analyze program data and drive quality improvement
• Strong leadership, coaching and conflict resolution skills
• Customer-focused approach to patient and family engagement
